Woman Charged With DUI In Crash That Killed Gloucester Township Man: Police
After his death, Charles Beehler's cats were left without a home. An Atco woman was charged with his death this week.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — An Atco woman has been charged in connection with an accident that killed a Gloucester Township man this spring, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Gloucester Township Police Chief Harry Earle said Saturday morning.
Dana Harper, 35, of Atco, was charged with one count of second-degree death by auto and driving under the influence, for the incident on the Black Horse Pike which resulted in the death of 55-year-old Charles Beehler on April 30.
Police say they received several 911 calls that Harper was driving a red Dodge Durango south on the Black Horse Pike near Fox Croft Apartments at about 11:30 a.m. that morning. She drove off the road and struck Beehler, who was walking along the side of the roadway, according to police. Beehler was pronounced dead at the scene.

A blood sample showed Harper was on several narcotics at the time of the accident, according to police.
Harper has been arrested and was remanded to the Camden County Jail. She is awaiting a detention hearing under the New Jersey Criminal Justice Reform.
Beehler and his wife, Martha, had just moved in the day before, according to a Facebook post. Martha, who is also 55, has no family and will be moving to an assisted living facility. That cats, who are fixed, but need updated vaccinations, were left without a home.

Martha is looking for a home for her cats. Some have been adopted, but as of Saturday, there was still one cat living in their apartment and three that were still in need of homes.. Anyone who would like to adopt any of the cats should email jenniferandersch@gmail.com.
