Alleged Dice Cheater Beaten And Robbed In Hoboken

Hoboken police arrested the last of four men suspected of assaulting and robbing an acquaintance during a game of dice gone wrong.

On Monday, Hoboken police arrested the last of four suspects in an Aug. 9 robbery case that allegedly began with a game of dice.

According to police, the robbery took place when five men were rolling dice outside of a building on Jackson Street around 4:30 a.m., and one man was accused of cheating.

That’s when the other four men then assaulted the alleged cheater and robbed him of about $300, authorities say.

Hoboken police had apprehended Deeon Walker and Jonathan Walker for their role in the alleged robbery in August.

Police reported that Stewart Davis, 27, of Jersey City, was apprehended on Tuesday around 10 p.m. on 8th Street, and that Mohamed Laib, 24, of Secaucus, was arrested less than three hours later by the Secaucus Police Department.
