Body Found In Hudson River Adds To Growing Fatality List
The "lifeless body of a male" was discovered in the Hudson River on Saturday, a report says.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Hudson County officials stated that the “lifeless body of a male” was discovered in the Hudson River in Jersey City on Saturday, a report says.
The body was found around 7 p.m. on Saturday, prosecutors told Hudson County View. According to police radio transmissions, the body was recovered in the portion of the Hudson River off of Exchange Place in Jersey City, Hudson County View stated.
Identification and autopsy results are currently pending, authorities said.

This weekend’s reported fatality is one of a growing list of bodies that have been found in the Hudson River over the past years.
In January, 24-year-old Hoboken resident Matthew Genovese was found dead in the local waterway after reportedly disappearing from a local bar.

On Christmas Day, 2015, emergency responders recovered the body of Anthony Urena, 23, of Manhattan, NY, a student at Lehman College, in the Hudson River. New York City police said Urena was last seen leaving a Manhattan night club around 5 a.m. on Nov. 14, according to ABC NY.
In 2014, the body of 27-year-old Andrew Jarzyk was found in the Hudson River near Lackawanna Terminal. Jarzyk went missing and was last seen jogging along the waterfront at about 2 a.m. that morning, authorities stated.
