Pool Of Blood On Hoboken Street Is Explained By Police
Residents in a Facebook group for Hoboken were concerned about a new pool of blood near Eighth Street and the light rail station.
HOBOKEN, NJ — After city workers cleaned up a conspicuous pool of blood on a residential street at a Hoboken corner Sunday, numerous residents posted on Facebook, concerned about what it was.
At least one resident said the blood included a trail from Eighth Street toward the 9th Street Light Rail Station in that town.

Police Lt. Danilo Cabrera said Monday, "It was from a medical call on July 31 at about 11:30 p.m., where an intoxicated male fell and hit his head on the ground."
The man was taken to Hoboken University Medical Center, Cabrera said.

Hoboken, a mile-square city with more than 130 liquor licenses, has a popular bar and restaurant scene.
There have also been numerous drunk driving arrests in Hoboken in the last few months, including a person who allegedly drove the wrong way past police headquarters.
