Hazlet Police Ask: Do You Know These Young People?

Police have recovered a Nook believed to be stolen. Police say they think the owners of the Nook are depicted in a photo found on the device

Hazlet police are trying to identify the owners of a Nook that was recently recovered in connection with a burglary case.

Police posted a photo on their Facebook page. They said the picture was on the Nook, and they believe the owners of the device are depicted in that photo.

“As a result of a recent burglary arrest, we have recovered numerous items we believe are stolen,” police said, adding that one of those items is the Nook.

Police said they are trying to identify the two young people in the yellow circles in that picture.

Anyone who knows them is asked to call Detective Gerry Laurino at 732-264-1705.

“We would like to return their property to them,’’ police said.
