School officials in Holmdel have “tweaked the proposed high school rotating schedule,’’ and restored the K-8 schedules, according to a notice from the school superintendent.

In a note posted on the district’s website, Superintendent Barbara Duncan said school officials wanted to “respond to the numerous concerns expressed by parents over the negative impact the change in our schools’ start and end times would have for families with young children in the coming year.”

A proposal presented to the school board would have called for a five-minute shift in start and end times for three of the district’s schools.

“After a great deal of analysis of all of the factors involved and consideration of what is in the best interest of all of our students from Pre-K to Grade 12, we have tweaked the proposed high school rotating schedule and have restored the K-8 schedules to the schedules currently in use,’’ she wrote.

Starting in September, the following schedules will be in effect:

  • William R. Satz School: 8:17-2:44
  • Indian Hill School: 9:05-3:35
  • Village School: 9:05-3:35
