If the 9 to 5 workday keeps you from getting municipal business done, here is good news: Hopatcong Borough Hall offers its monthly Evening Hours Thursday. Municipal staff will be on duty from 5-7 p.m. to help you with whatever town issues you need to handle. 

If you are a Hopatcong-area business owner, the Jefferson Township Chamber of Commerce wants to get to know you—and the organization wants to introduce you to your fellow entrepreneurs. The group offers a Chamber of Commerce Networking Lunch at C3 Workplace in Sparta. The event will enable attendees to learn about C3 and its facilities and services, such as its "Co-Working Space," shared office rentals and networking groups. The luncheon begins at 12 noon. The cost is $20 per person and guests are welcome. C3 Workplace can be found at 37 Main St. in Sparta.

Hopatcong's Sanitation Department will be on the job Thursday. Residents keeping score should know that the C schedule for garbage pickup is in place for the day and for recycling, it's the B schedule. For more info, call Borough Hall at 973-770-1200.
