American Legion Post 423 Conducts Flag-Raising Ceremony at Golf Outing
The Department for Persons with Disabilities honored Captain William Carroll, who just returned from Afghanistan.
In honor of Captain William Carroll, who just returned from Afghanistan, American Legion Post 423 raised the flag and fired three volley shots at the opening of the 40th annual Wiegand Farm Golf Classic.
The golf classic, hosted by the Department for Persons with Disabilities, took place last Monday at both Bowling Green Golf Club or Berkshire Valley Golf Course and honored a number of individuals in the community, including Carroll.
Carroll received letters of commendation from Reverend Arthur J. Serratelli, Bishop of Paterson and Gov. Chris Christie.
