Grand Jury Yet to Meet in Case of Morris Boys Allegedly Kidnapped by Dad
Kristopher Dohm's last court appearance was a bail hearing in early April

Nearly five months after a Hopatcong man was found in a Florida hotel six weeks after allegedly kidnapping his own two sons, the accused remains jailed with no court appearances set.
Kristopher Dohm, 36, is being held on $800,000 bail after he was arrested March 18 and charged with kidnapping and custody interference when he left the state with his sons, Parker, 8, and Jaxon, 7, who live in Landing with their mother, Sandra Hughes Dohm.
Kristopher Dohm and his ex-wife had joint custody of the boys. In early February, Kristopher Dohm allegedly asked Sandra Hughes Dohm if he could take the boys out of state to visit an ailing relative on the west coast, to which she agreed. When the boys were not returned at the agreed upon time, a nationwide search began.

Dohm and his sons were found by Pasco County Sheriff’s Officers in a seedy hotel on a Wednesday night along with a convicted criminal wanted for multiple sex offenses.
With Dohm was childhood friend Edward Tarras, wanted in Tennessee. Tarras was charged in Tennessee with rape, sexual battery, 19 counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, and sexual exploitation of a minor more than 100 times. On Aug. 15, 2014, Tarras cut off his tracking bracelet and fled the state, Tennessee Bureau of Investigations reported.
Both were extradited shortly after their arrests.
