• Lake Winona Residents File Complaint Against Lake Association Over Dam Repair Assessment (tapinto.net) — Lake Winona homeowners in Jefferson are challenging a $4.7 million state-backed loan for dam repairs that Jefferson Township co-signed, saying they were never properly informed and now face tens of thousands of dollars in new debt. Residents, many on fixed incomes, have filed a complaint against the Lake Winona Civic Association and are urging the township to take over the lake as public open space to unlock grants and ease the burden.
