Lacey Residents In Flood-Prone Areas Can Park Their Vehicles At Gille Park In Forked River

Residents who live in low-lying areas of Lacey Township can park their cars in Gille Park in Forked River if they are concerned about flood waters, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.
Vehicles should be parked in the parking lot on the southern most side, next to the hockey rink, he said.
The National Weather Service's tropical storm warning will run from Sunday through Monday.

"Areas of concern are the low-lying areas east of Route 9," DiBella said.
Tropical storm force winds are expected, with sustained winds of 39 miles per hour. mph or greater, with higher gusts for at least the coastal counties. The strongest winds should occur Sunday into Monday, he said.

Police suggest cleaning your gutters, bringing in light objects or tying them down to prevent them from becoming projectiles in high winds. Please park vehicles off the street or move them to higher ground.
