8U Baseball Travel Team Wins First Game of Season!

A big congratulations goes out to the Long Valley Wolfpack 8U spring travel baseball team.  The team plays in a youth baseball league in Northern NJ.  This season is the first time that this group of 8 year olds will have the opportunity to play some of our surrounding towns.  The mission of the team is to create a love for the game and to develop our towns children who have an extended interest in the game.  This past Sunday they had their first game of the season versus Rockaway. Our kids beat Rockaway 9-0 in a great game. The kids had a great time and they thought it was fun to be able to play at a different field and against other children who they didn't know.  The kids on both sides did a great job for their first time out.  Both teams had some great hits and all of the pitchers did great.  Their next game is at home this Sunday 4/22 versus Florham Park.
