It is six days until the election. I appreciate the LV Patch’s effort to keep the candidate’s voices active despite the abnormal events that transpired because of the snowstorm. A lot of us without power, phone/internet service, and property damage are still dealing with it. Our backup generator kept us with the basics—heat, showers, etc., and allowed us to take in those who were without such.
Back to the campaign... I appreciated Mr. Tobin’s candor, insights, and civility during this campaign. We agree on many issues—he brought up the fact there is complacency in our local government. I agree. If this electoral campaign does nothing else, it will be to make that point. Mr. Tobin also brought out one of the most important reasons why anyone would campaign for this office, that is: he was told by the committee, that if he didn’t like the way the system worked, he should run for a committee seat—and he did. It is a different time and I have different issues, but that mantra will always be mine.
