The music program is an important part of our school. Sadly, budget cuts have significantly hurt the program. The middle school bands are not as strong as they used to be, due to loss of teachers, which is ultimately hurting the high school bands.
Teachers and administrators at the school are dedicating themselves and doing all they can to make the program successful. The program includes choir, orchestra, marching band, and concert band, along with smaller groups like jazz band and baroque orchestra.

Students who are involved with music are talented and love making music with their classmates. I am a member of the concert band and I am proud to know that the people involved with the program are keeping the music alive, but we cannot do it without the help of the community.
Parents and community members can show their support by simply spreading the word about the great program available to all students, starting in middle school. By raising numbers in the music classes and clubs, the program can continue to grow and be a successful part of our high school where students can show their creativity and talents.
