During tough times nothing is more important to us then our Friends. With that in mind the Washington Township Public Library would like to thank their Friends of the Library for their hard work and dedication. This past year the Friends have purchased Museum Passes for circulation to Washington Township residents. They also purchased videogames for the Youth Services Department. The Friends sponsored both a spring and holiday program and luncheon for the public as well as purchased prizes for the Adult, Teen, and Children's Summer Reading Clubs.
This coming Friday, May 6 (10 am -8 pm) and Saturday, May 7 (9 am - 5 pm) is the Annual Friends of the Library Book Sale. The donations have been coming in fast and furiously and just as fast and furiously have our Friends volunteers been weeding, sorting and organizing the materials as well as recruiting their friends and neighbors to work the sale. Please stop by the Library this weekend to patronize our Friends Book Sale. All of the FOL proceeds go towards supporting the library in developing its facilities and collections.
If you are interested in becoming a Friend of the Library, the Friends General Membership meeting is Wednesday, May 25 at 7pm at the Library. With your help, the Friends can continue to provide the support that connects you with your community.
