Central Superlatives: High School Yearbook Named Among Nation's Best
Student-led publication again honored in 'Gallery of Excellence.'

Yet again, West Morris Central’s annual yearbook is a terrific, student-created product.
And because of its excellence, it’s being honored nationally.
Yearbook publisher Walsworth has placed Central’s Talisman into this year’s Gallery of Excellence, which are used across the country to inspire other staffs and are used as idea generators, along with being displayed at national conventions and workshops.

Central’s yearbooks were distributed on Wednesday, June 3, and were accompanied by an app available for download that included the entire publication. Central is one of just 20 schools in the nation with the capability to have both a physical book and an app, said Central teacher and yearbook advisor Cara Fabin.
“The dedication of the editors and staff became evident this year when they would spend long hours at home to make up for the lost time at WMC,” said Fabin.

The staff included editor-in-chief Gabriela Jasek; editors Daniel Bohigan, Kristopher Rega, and Cassidy Buchanan; assistant editors Alexis O’Neil, Emily Driscoll, and Brian Santos; and 29 other staffers who created pages and covered events.
O’Neil will take over as editor-in-chief for the 2015-2016 yearbook.
