Long Valley Man Pawned Stolen GoPro Cameras in Hackettstown, Cops Say
Shane Corrigan was charged with theft while lodged in Sussex County Correctional Facility, police report.

A Washington Township man has been charged with stealing high-end video camera equipment from a local store and selling it to a pawn shop, Hackettstown police said.
The Hackettstown Police Department was informed about numerous sales of Go Pro Hero 3+ silver edition cameras at the Gold Mine pawn shop on Main Street in Hackettstown on Aug. 4, Sgt. Darren Tynan said. An investigation showed Shane Corrigan, 25, of Washington Township had stolen the cameras, each valued at $266.43, from the Mansfield Wal-Mart on July 31, Tynan said.
Police eventually recovered the cameras and returned them to the store. On Monday, Sept. 15, while lodged in Sussex County Correctional Facility, Corrigan was formally charged with receiving stolen property and theft by deception.

Corrigan was arrested on Aug. 13 by Hackettstown Police on a $20,000 criminal warrant from Franklin Borough in Sussex County for allegedly stealing more than $1,900 worth of Apple iPod equipment from the Wal-Mart store there.
Corrigan allegedly broke into a locked display cabinet at the Franklin store to steal the equipment.

Corrigan was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of heroin in April 2012 in Mt. Olive, according to the Independent Press. In February 2013, Corrigan was placed into a special drug program to avoid jail time after being arrested for possession of marijuana.
