Route 80 Crash Victim IDed As Ohio Man: Report

LONG VALLEY, NJ — The driver killed in Friday afternoon's crash on Route 80 has been identified as a 72-year-old Ohio man, according to reports.

Raymond Mills, 72, of Alliance, Ohio, was driving in his pick-up truck when the truck and trailer it was pulled ran off the side of the road and overturned in Mount Olive. He was killed at the scene.

It was unclear why Mills' truck overturned, police told NJ Herald. The cause remains under investigation, according to nj.com. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)

The crash, which happened just before 2 p.m. on Friday, closed the entire westbound side for nearly an hour. Lanes on both sides of the highway remained closed through rush hour, as Patch reported.
