Contractor Found Dead In Closet At Bergen High School: Police
The school held an assembly where officials told students what happened, authorities said.

The body of a 62-year-old Cablevision contractor was found dead Wednesday in a closet at the Academy of Holy Angels in Demarest, police said.
Police were notified of the body's discovery at 11:45 a.m. in a closet in the school's "old theater," said Demarest Police Chief James Powderley.
The New York man's body was found in a utility room where he was installing equipment, the chief said.

Authorities are trying to determine the cause of death, but "foul play is not suspected," Powderly said.
Police determined that there no imminent threat to the school and a recorded message was quickly sent to parents, informing them of the situation, Powderly said.

Students were put in "shelter in place" and kept at the school and parents were notified; the school held an assembly where officials told them what happened, the chief said. Counselors were made available to students. School was dismissed on time at about 2 p.m.
The man's body was taken to the Bergen County Medical Examiner's Office, NJ.com reported.
