New Audio Released From Alleged Mahwah Murder: Report
Northjersey.com obtained audio from a 911 call made by Milan Ghimire, who is accused of killing his co-worker, Phu Tsewang, in Mahwah.
MAHWAH, NJ — NorthJersey.com has obtained and released new audio from a 911 call made by a Mahwah man who is accused of killing his 56-year-old co-worker at a Mahwah apartment this summer.
Milan Ghimire, 23, is charged with murder, unlawful weapon possession and tampering with evidence after the prosecutor said he shot and killed 56-year-old Phu Tsewang at 26 Avenue A in Mahwah, where Ghimire lived. Read more: Co-Worker Charged With Mahwah Man's Murder
In the new audio, Ghimire is recorded saying that he had just shot someone, and also gave the dispatcher his location and make of the vehicle he was driving. Ghimire also admitted he had a gun in the vehicle.

Mahwah police responded to the scene at 9:44 p.m. on July 12 to find Tsewang "deceased from multiple gunshot wounds."

Ghimire was identified as the suspect in the shooting, and was later found in the Bronx, New York, and apprehended by the New York Police Department Emergency Services Unit.
According to NorthJersey, Ghimire is still in custody in New York City, where he has an immigration warrant as well as the murder charge.
