• Man dies after falling into lake at Bergen's Darlington County Park (northjersey.com) — A 62-year-old man died Friday morning after falling into the fishing lake at Darlington County Park in Mahwah, where witnesses reported he appeared to suffer a medical episode. Mahwah EMS rushed him to The Valley Hospital with lifesaving efforts underway, but he was pronounced dead, and county officials are offering condolences to his family and the park community.
   

• Truck overturns on I-287 in Mahwah, spills rocks across roadway (northjersey.com) — Traffic on I-287 in Mahwah was heavily disrupted Saturday afternoon when a dump truck loaded with rocks overturned and hit two SUVs, sending at least four people to the hospital as a precaution. All northbound lanes initially closed while crews cleared spilled rock, with only the left lane reopened by mid-afternoon and delays continuing as police investigated the cause.
