• Borough survives prolonged nor'easter (starnewsgroup.com) — Manasquan's low-lying neighborhoods saw significant flooding, road closures, and beach erosion during last weekend's prolonged nor'easter, but officials say preparation helped the borough avoid worse damage. Emergency crews handled disabled cars, downed wires, and a brief power outage while monitoring each high tide. Public works is already pushing sand back onto the beach and coordinating with Monmouth County on repairs.
