Nor'easter Aftermath In Marlboro: Brush Pickup, Recycling Delayed
Due to an influx of snow on township roads, brush collection will be postponed until further notice. Recycling pickup is also postponed.
MARLBORO, NJ - Due to an influx of snow on township roads, several pickup services in Marlboro Township will be delayed, according to local authorities.
Brush collection will be postponed until further notice and recycling pickup for Zone 1 (originally set for Feb. 2) will be postponed until Feb. 9 (the Feb. 16 collection date will be as scheduled).
“As we continue to clean out and clean up from the largest snowstorm we have seen in many years, we are keeping an eye on another potential storm this coming weekend,” Mayor Jon Hornik wrote in a township email update on Thursday.

“With 50 plus hours of nonstop work, the men and women of our Department at Public Works and our third-party contractors did a spectacular job handling this storm.”
Marlboro and Colts Neck recieved about 11.5 inches of snow during a nor'easter that brought up to 16 inches of snow to some areas of Monmouth County. Marlboro schools closed Feb. 1 and followed a virtual schedule on Feb. 2. The Freehold Regional High School District - which includes Marlboro High School - was closed both days.

Updates to the brush collection and recycling schedules will be sent via email and posted to the township website, according to Hornik. You can find the recycling calendar here.
In the meantime, the Marlboro Recycling Center (1979 Township Drive) is open for locals to bring brush and leaves. No permit or fee is needed.
