The Thomas W. Wilson Sr. Scholarship Program, named for one of the firm’s founders, was established to support the college education of selected individuals who are children of full-time Wilson Elser employees. This is the fifth scholarship the program has awarded since its inception in 2010.
“We are all impressed with Amanda’s accomplishments and the standard of excellence she represents,” added Thomas W. Wilson Sr., Wilson Elser’s chairman emeritus and the scholarship’s namesake. “We wish her well in her college career and we believe that she will achieve her professional and personal goals of helping people who are challenged and less fortunate.”
One scholarship is awarded each year, providing the recipient with $10,000 per year for up to four years at an accredited college or university or upon graduation, whichever occurs first.
The scholarship is independently awarded through a third party, and applicants are evaluated on academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, career and educational goals and objectives, and unusual personal or family circumstances.
