2 Firefighters Injured In Lincroft Fire Thursday
At least two firefighters were overcome by the heat and had breathing difficulties putting out a house fire on Dogwood Lane Thursday.

LINCROFT, NJ — Here are photos from a house fire Thursday afternoon in the Lincroft section. A home on Dogwood Lane, which may have been vacant at the time, caught fire, according to EMS on the scene. The fire was first reported at about 1:30 p.m.
Heat was the biggest obstacle, especially for the area's volunteer firefighters fighting the blaze. One firefighter was taken to Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank for heat exhaustion, and a second firefighter was treated at the scene for breathing difficulties and released. As many as 31 additional firefighters went through EMS rehabilitation at the scene, which is designed to prevent them from suffering the effects of heat exhaustion.
EMS was under the command of Lincroft First Aid Captain Dave Kelly. Lincroft First Aid & Rescue, Fairview First Aid & Rescue, and Middletown EMS responded, as did Lincroft and Fairview rescue trucks.
