MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Here are photos from a crash Tuesday morning that occurred on Holland Road by Tatum Park.
The crash occurred at around 7:15 a.m. today, and only involved one driver, who refused treatment at the scene, according to Middletown EMS, which responded. The Middletown Fire Department was also called out of concern the driver may be trapped in the car, but the driver was able to get out of the Jeep on their own.
Be careful out there: Middletown EMS also reports they've been called to about a half-dozen slip and falls Tuesday morning so far. Unfortunately, most of the calls have been for elderly people.

"This morning's icy conditions resulted in not only this accident, but had a number of residents suffer injuries from slipping and falling on walkways and outdoor stairs," said Bob Pfleger, Deputy Chief of the Middletown EMS Department. "Our seniors are particularly vulnerable to suffering a severe injury due to a fall. We remind all to please be safe and exercise caution when walking, as the black ice can be deceiving."

Photos provided from the scene by the all-volunteer Middletown EMS.
