New Jersey - Land and Sea

"New Jersey - Land and Sea" will showcase original paintings of  landscapes and seascapes of various local scenes in the unique styles of the artists in two different media - oil and watercolor.  Lisa Grob is an award- winning, nationally-published watercolorist whose impressionistic works are filled with atmospheric qualities that she accomplishes through glazing. Lisa  uses an indirect method of painting to accomplish her unique, signature-style which allows the water to carry the pigment across the paper. Her work has appeared in numerous publications to include; “The New Jersey publication,”  “The Artist Touch, Vol. 7,”  “The Best of American Water Media Artist,” and  “The Best of American Landscape Artists.” Her work has been displayed in numerous solo and group shows and has been collected by patrons on an international level. Her latest award, “The award of excellence” was presented to her by the Garden State Watercolor Society in May 2012.  Lisa is an Advanced Watercolor Instructor at the Guild of Creative Art, a member of the American and National Watercolor Societies, as well as the Garden State, New Jersey and Philadelphia Watercolor Societies.

Pratima Rao is a nationally recognized Plein Air oil painter,  whose artwork  has been juried into national Plein Air shows such as "Paint Annapolis", "Wayne Plein Air", "Cranford - Paint the Town", and "Plein Air Vermont".   Pratima’s oil paintings are representational land and seascapes , light-filled and color harmonious, capturing the atmosphere and feel of the place in her unmistakable style. The final paintings are exciting and colorful, conveying her unique point of  view.  While she is primarily a Plein Air artist, creating most of her work outdoors on location, she frequently uses her plein air work to create larger studio works.  Her works have been included in a number of shows and are collected by patrons across the country.  Pratima is an Exhibiting Member of the Guild of Creative Art, a member of the Plein Air Painters of the Jersey Coast (PAPJC), and Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association (MPAPA), an associate of the Oil Painters of America (OPA) and the American Impressionist Society (AIS)
