IMA Patients Donate Toys To 270 Middletown Families

The toys were dropped off Saturday so Middletown Helps Its Own could distribute them. MHIO even helps with rent and electricity payments.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — For the fifth year in a row, patients at IMA Urgent Care & Primary Care donated toys to give to 270 Middletown families this holiday season.

The toys were all donated to Middletown Helps Its Own for distribution. A handmade quilt was also donated by Middletown’s Rebecca’s Reel Quilt Guild.

This past Saturday, Dec. 17, Middletown student volunteers, volunteers from the Middletown Fire Department and EMS and Middletown Police loaded up their vehicles to deliver holiday care packages to more than 270 Middletown families.

“We are very happy that our patients and staff help support Middletown Helps Its Own," said IM president Dr. Roger Thompson. "Through their generosity, so many local families will have a holiday to remember."

For 58 years, Middletown Helps Its Own has been providing local assistance to Middletown families in need, including holiday gift and food baskets and utility and rent assistance.

IMA Urgent Care and Primary Care has been caring for Monmouth County for over 25 years. IMA consists of two urgent care centers and eight primary care offices, pediatrics, endocrinology and diagnostics. IMA is owned and operated by local physicians who live and practice in Monmouth County.
