It's Now Three Confirmed Coronavirus Cases In Middletown
There is a new positive COVID-19 case at Tomaso Towers in Middletown. That makes the count now three coronavirus cases in Middletown.
MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Middletown Township officials received confirmation Wednesday that a resident of Tomaso Towers has tested positive for COVID-19, the novel coronavirus. The resident is currently hospitalized.
Any and all close contacts have been contacted directly by the Health Department.
There are currently three confirmed cases in Middletown. Town officials did not say where the other two cases are.

Monmouth County's first two coronavirus cases were both older Hazlet women, who attended the same adult daycare in Marlboro, and there have also been cases in Little Silver, Red Bank and Manalapan, among other towns. In total, Monmouth County has 32 positive coronavirus cases.
The Red Bank and Little Silver cases have recovered, and one of the Hazlet women was released from Bayshore.

Middletown officials will be continually monitored by local health officials and positive cases will be shared with the public. Middletown Mayor Tony Perry implemented an 8 p.m. curfew this week because so many local teens were hanging out in groups in public spaces and "this isn't spring break," he said.

"We continue to stress the importance of social distancing in an effort to flatten the curve of this public health crisis. We also ask that you monitor yourself and family members for signs and symptoms of this virus, including fever, cough, shortness of breath or other respiratory illness.
