Memorial Service Saturday For Man Killed In Middletown Accident
Kevin Patrick McAdorey will be remembered in a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday at Freeman Funeral Home in Freehold:
MIDDLETOWN, NJ — The electrician who was killed this week after he fell from a height of 20 feet in Middletown will be honored in a memorial service this Saturday.
Kevin Patrick McAdorey will be remembered in a memorial gathering from 1-2 p.m. at Freeman Funeral Home at 47 East Main Street in Freehold. There will be a service at 2 p.m., according to his obituary.
McAdorey, 58, died just after 12 p.m. Tuesday while he was working outdoors at the Middletown Village Mall, 1040 Hwy. 35 (the Bottle King shopping plaza).

While his cause of death has not been officially determined, police say he may have been fatally electrocuted while operating a scissor lift.
The lift was elevated and came into contact with overhead electric powerlines. The lift was about 20 feet off the ground; McAdorey fell from the lift and was found on the ground unconscious. He was taken to Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, where he was unable to be revived.

The 911 call was made at 12:29 p.m. Tuesday.
McAdorey was raised in Freehold and was a resident of Brick Township at the time of his death.
According to his obituary, McAdorey was an electrician for over 30 years and he was an avid fan of the NY Giants, Mets and Rangers.
"He loved to entertain family and friends, particularly on game days," it read. His friends wrote a number of tributes to him.
