More Info. On Car Stolen From Middletown Acme Parking Lot

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — On Tuesday, we told you how a car was stolen from the parking lot of the Middletown Acme.

Now on Wednesday, Middletown Twp. Police released new details of the crime:

Shortly after 2 p.m. on Jan. 11, Middletown Police responded to the Acme shopping center at 616 Newman Springs Rd. in Lincroft for a report of a stolen motor vehicle.

The vehicle stolen was a 2021 blue BMW 330. The vehicle was parked in the Acme parking lot with the keys left inside while the owner was inside shopping.

The car has not yet been found and no arrests have been made.

In a completely separate incident, a 2019 Porsche Cayenne was also stolen Tuesday afternoon from the parking lot of a business in Red Bank. The Porsche, valued at $150,000, was stolen from the parking lot of 192 Shrewsbury Avenue, which is on the corner of Shrewsbury Avenue and Catherine Street.

There are no suspects at this time.

Last Friday, a car stolen from Little Silver was found on Garden State Parkway in Holmdel after having caught on fire. The occupants of the car fled and there were no arrests.

Middletown Police would like to remind all residents and drivers to lock their vehicles and keep their keys with them when vehicles are unoccupied and unattended.
