Divers are no longer in the water at Sandy Hook, but the search for a possible sunken boat will continue with side-scan sonar, New York City police reported on Twitter.

Rescue crews were searching the Sandy Hook channel after getting an unconfirmed report about a sunken vessel, State Police said Tuesday.

The State Police Marine Unit, the U.S. Coast Guard and New York Police were searching near buoy 14, authorities said.

The Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office is also involved in the search.

A crew from another boat reported seeing a 40-foot commercial fishing boat sinking around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, WABC news said.

A life ring and a cooler were found in the area, WCBS reported.

The U.S. Coast Guard told 1010 Wins that the search zone in that area is about 70 feet deep.
