Serious Car Accident In Middletown Monday Morning; Pedestrian Killed
A female pedestrian was fatally struck at Main Street and Hunters Pointe, very close to the intersection of Palmer Ave. and Middle Rd.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A very serious car accident occurred in Middletown Monday morning, and a female pedestrian was killed. Patch originally reported the accident happened at the intersection of Palmer Street and Main Street in Belford, but it actually occurred at Main Street and Hunters Pointe, very close to the intersection of Palmer Avenue and Middle Road.
At approximately 8:47 a.m. today, the Middletown Twp. Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian who was struck. The female pedestrian was killed, police said. She was transported to Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank and was later pronounced dead. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police investigation, according to Middletown police spokesman Lt. Paul Bailey.
The woman was reportedly out walking when she was struck by the car.
