Three Ways To Pay Your May 1 Middletown Property Taxes

Second-quarter property taxes were due May 1, but the new grace period now gives New Jersey homeowners 'till June 1.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — On Tuesday, April 28 Gov. Phil Murphy signed this new law that allows New Jersey towns to extend the grace period for property tax payments to June 1 this year.

Prior to passing the extension Tuesday, second-quarter property taxes were due on May 1, with a grace period date of May 11. The new grace period now gives New Jersey homeowners until June 1.

This extension provides "much-needed relief to homeowners struggling financially as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic," said Murphy.
