PHOTO: Tree Already Down on Red Hill Road in Middletown

BREAKING: Wind brought a tree down on Red Hill Road by Kings Highway in Middletown Monday morning.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ - Monday's nor'easter is already starting to cause damage and wreck havoc along New Jersey's coast. A reader sent this photo in to Monmouth County Police, Fire & EMS' Facebook page of a tree that fell Monday morning on Red Hill Road near Kings Highway. The tree was brought down by wind gusts and as of 9 a.m., Red Hill Road was impassable to all traffic. Use caution; avoid the area, police said.

Flooding is already reported in Sea Bright and in towns near Atlantic City. The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for Central New Jersey starting Monday, January 23 from 3:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Winds are expected to gust as high as 55 mph with the strongest winds expected to occur during the day on Monday. Periods of heavy rain and possible flooding are also expected. The National Weather Service said winds were already moving at a 50 mph rate in the Atlantic City area. More than 4,000 people have already lost power, particularly in South Jersey, Central Jersey and the Jersey Shore.
