The accident happened at 9:08 a.m. Sunday on Rt. 35 near the intersection of Crestview Drive.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A woman suffered minor injuries in this two-car collision that happened on Highway 35 in Middletown Sunday morning. The 9 a.m. accident shut down one lane on 35 northbound yesterday, causing traffic delays for quite a while.

The accident happened near the intersection of Crestview Drive at 9:08 a.m. Sunday, according to Bob Pfleger, deputy chief of Middletown EMS. The Middletown Fire Department and Middletown EMS responded. Firefighters had to use a "door pop," as the driver was unable to exit the car on her own. She had been minorly injured, however, and was able to walk to the ambulance once the door was opened.

Leonardo First Aid & Rescue transported her to Riverview Medical Center. The other driver was uninjured. The accident caused the left lane of 35 northbound to be blocked, and only the shoulder on the south side was passable.
