An ordinance was introduced to define microbreweries and microdistillers, and more cameras are needed to prevent vandalism at parks.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Here's full video recording of the most recent Middletown Township Committee meeting, held Oct. 2.

One ordinance was introduced to repeal the snow-removal registry. Another was introduced to define microbreweries and microdistillers, electronic signs and to rezone a property from residential to business.

Annual presentations were given by TOMSA and the Housing Authority and the Green Team presented different methods in which the Township could realize savings by entering into programs to save energy. According to Township Administrator Anthony Mercantante, two bids were received for the microgrid feasibility study. He also said Middletown needs to apply to the Green Acres program to change the use of the school at Croydon Hall to a community center. Mercantante also said more security cameras are needed to combat vandalism at Middletown parks.
