4 Public Hearings, Kings Highway Change Orders On Council Agenda

Council will meet Monday night, Nov. 27, at town hall.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — There will be four public hearings when Moorestown Council convenes on Monday night, Nov. 27, at town hall. The regular meeting begins at 7:30 p.m., preceded by the workshop portion of the meeting at 7 p.m. Town hall is located at 111 West Second Street.

One public hearing concerns authorizing the township to use about $85,000 from the “Open Space, Recreation, Farmland and Historic Preservation Trust Fund” for Princeton Hydro to Provide Engineering, Design and Permitting Services for Stormwater Improvement Projects for Strawbridge Lake.

The other three accompany final votes for three proposed ordinances. One proposal would amend the traffic laws in the following areas:

Another is for a proposed bond ordinance that allocates $325,000 — including the borrowing of $308,750 in bonds or notes — for the reconstruction of basketball and tennis courts at Maple Dawson Park.

The final proposed ordinance covers changes to Moorestown’s Flood Damage Prevention Map. Many of the amendments are minor, and are due to amendments that must be made in other municipalities. They must be approved by Dec. 21 for Moorestown residents to be eligible for federal flood insurance coverage.
