Moorestown Council meets Monday night at town hall.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Moorestown Council will consider three proposed ordinances on introduction when it meets Monday night at town hall. The workshop portion of the agenda begins at 7 p.m. followed by the official action meeting at 7:30 p.m. Town hall is located at 111 West Second Street, adjacent to the library.

Council will consider awarding a $182,550 contract to Cinnaminson-based Municipal Maintenance Company for the purchase and installation of five yeomans pumps and six motors at the Sewer Treatment Plant and South Valley Pumping Station. The purchase is to ensure the continued operation and treatment process, and includes:
  • three replacement pumps/motors at the Sewer Treatment Plant;
  • two replacement pumps/motors at the South Valley Pumping Station; and
  • one replacement motor at the South Valley Pumping Station.

Council will also consider a $15,155.43 change order for the road resurfacing program. The original amount set aside for Hammonton-based Arawak Paving to perform the work was $1,113,600. Council previously approved one change order in the amount of $19,945 for field conditions and quantity adjustments.
Monday night’s proposal introduces two more change orders.

The first calls for a $14,288.16 decrease for asphalt price adjustments. The other calls for a $29,443.59 increase for various quantity adjustments. The net total is thus $15,155.43, bringing the total price of the contract up to $1,148,700.43.
