Former Moorestown BOE President Sworn In To State Board Of Education
Kathy Goldenberg was officially sworn in on July 5, according to the state.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Former Moorestown Board of Education President Kathy Goldenberg has been sworn in as a member of the New Jersey State Board of Education. She is one of 11 members to have been sworn in over the course of the last two meetings, the board announced last week.
Goldenberg was sworn in on July 5. In addition to serving as Board President from 2015 through 2017, and serving as a member of the local school board for 10 years overall, she was a member of the New Jersey School Board Association’s (NJSBA) Legislative Finance Committee and District 7 Legislative Committee Member for the last two years. She served as the Moorestown Board of Education’s Vice President from 2011-2015. She was also a member of the NJSBA for 10 years, from 2007-2017.

Goldenberg holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration - Finance and International Business from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business. She is married with two children.

Goldenberg resigned from the Moorestown Board of Education on June 19 because she isn’t permitted to serve on the state board and the local board simultaneously.

Sandra Alberti has since been elected to serve as the Board President and Mark Villanueva was appointed by the board to serve the remainder of her term.
Villanueva will run against Kameron K. Rabenou in a special election for the seat this November.
