Funding For Water Treatment Upgrades To Be Discussed At Moorestown Council Meeting

Moorestown Council meets at town hall at 7 p.m.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Moorestown Council will consider a pair of proposed ordinances focused on fixing the township’s water issues when it meets on Monday night, 7 p.m. at town hall.

Separate proposals appropriate funds and authorize the borrowing of money in bonds or notes for preliminary engineer and design expenses for upgrades to the North Church Street and Hartford Road water treatment plants, respectively.

Neither proposal has a price tag attached to it on the agenda released Friday afternoon, and neither proposal has a link to the corresponding ordinance.

There will be a public hearing and final vote on a proposed ordinance that would appropriate $2,450,000 and authorize the township to borrow $2,253,400 in bonds or notes for the road resurfacing program.

Matters to be discussed during the workshop include the distribution and preliminary overview of the draft budget.
