Moorestown Council To Approve $26K In Affordable Housing Payments
Moorestown Council's official action meeting begins at 7 p.m. The workshop is cancelled.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Moorestown Council will consider spending over $26,000 out of the Affordable Housing Trust Fund for the development and implementation of its housing plan when it meets Monday night. Council will meet on Monday night, March 26, 7 p.m. The workshop portion of the meeting is cancelled, and the official action portion of the meeting will commence at 7 p.m.
Council will consider the funding in a pair of consent agenda resolutions. The first authorizes $7,445.50 to come out of the fund to Elizabeth C. McKenzie, PP, PA for Special Court Master Services for the development and implementation of the plan.
The second authorizes $18,721.78 to come out of the fund to Clarke Caton Hintz CCH for Consulting Services related to development and implementation of the plan.

Last week, Moorestown Council unanimously approved a resolution to enter into an agreement with the Fair Share Housing Center concerning its affordable housing obligations. The agreement calls for the township to work with four intervenor developers and three programs to help satisfy its obligation of 337 new affordable housing units by 2025. The township will also engage in overlay zoning to satisfy its unmet need.

The two items are among six to be considered on the consent agenda. Council will also consider awarding a contract to Integrated Turf Management for $23,195 for coring and seeding of athletic fields. Another item concerns amending and supplementing the temporary budget. To view the amendments, click here.
Council will consider a proposed ordinance on first reading to acquire a portion of land for potential future capital improvement and road projects.
Council is also tentatively scheduled to go into closed session for “matters relating to the employment relationship.”
