Moorestown Council To Consider Senior Housing Monday Night
Moorestown Council will meet Monday night at town hall, 7 p.m.
MOORESTOWN, NJ - A proposed ordinance to establish zoning for affordable housing on Centerton Road will be introduced at Monday night’s Moorestown Council meeting.
Moorestown Council will meet on Monday night, May 6, 7 p.m. at town hall, 111 West Second Street. The workshop portion of the meeting is cancelled, and the regular action meeting will begin at 7 p.m. It is the second consecutive week council will meet.
The proposal up for introduction was set to be introduced at the April 29 meeting, but was tabled because the proposal didn’t specify that the ordinance was for affordable housing. It is the only item up for introduction, and there are no items scheduled to be considered for a public hearing.

The lowest bid was higher than anticipated, so the project will be rebid with a substantial modification to the scope of work to better control costs, according to the agenda packet posted on the township’s website.
