Moorestown Council To Discuss Road Resurfacing Monday Night

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Two proposed ordinances concerning road resurfacing will be introduced when Moorestown Council meets Monday night. The council meeting begins with a workshop session on Monday night, May 21, 7 p.m., at town hall, 111 West Second Street. The official action meeting follows at 7:30 p.m.
The first piece of legislation to be considered concerns a proposed $725,000, including borrowing $451,250 in bonds or notes, for the resurfacing of Garwood Road. The other proposes appropriating $2,500,000 and borrowing $2,375,000 in bonds or notes for the overall 2018 Roads Resurfacing Program.
The final proposed ordinance up for introduction Monday night calls for the creation of a Parking Enforcement Officer in Moorestown. The officer would make between $14 and $22 per hour.

There are 13 items on the consent agenda, including three items that call for money to be borrowed from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund for consultation services.
One calls for $41,611.19 to be paid from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund for consulting services to Capehart Scatchard. One calls for $27,133.58 to be paid from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund for consulting services to Clarke Caton Hintz. The final one calls for $3,125 to be paid from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund for Special Court Master Services to Elizabeth C, McKenzie, PP, PA.

Another resolution calls for the adoption of a temporary capital budget. Discussion of a capital budget work session will take place during the workshop portion of the meeting.
