Moorestown Council Schedules Third Meeting For Manager Discussion
The closed session meeting is set for June 13.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Moorestown Council has scheduled a third closed session meeting to discuss the hiring process for a new township manager.
Council will meet on Wednesday, June 13, 5:30 p.m. in the donut room at town hall, 111 West Second Street. Formal action will not be taken.
Tom Merchel resigned from the position earlier this year. He will remain as the township's chief financial officer (CFO), the position he held prior to accepting the position of township manager following Scott Carew's resignation in 2017.

Merchel wanted to eliminate one of his roles, as being the township manager was never intended to be a permanent solution. Two meetings to discuss the process had already been scheduled, for May 30 and June 7.
