Approximately one month ago, Congressman Tom MacArthur resurrected a repeal of Obamacare by offering amendments to give a 217-214 win for Republicans and for President Trump. According to the latest Congressional Budget Office's estimate, 23 million people would lose healthcare by 2026. The CBO forecasts other harmful effects, but that gigantic healthcare loss is the takeaway headline. To show his gratitude to Congressman MacArthur, President Trump will host a fundraiser for our Congressman this Sunday, June 11, at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, Suffolk County. The Rutgers Master Gardener Program of Burlington County will be giving 3 presentations on Saturday, May 9 at the opening of the Burlington County Farmers Market at the Burlington County Agricultural Center located at 500 Centerton Road in Moorestown NJ.
The presentations are:
9:30 am - 10:15 am - The Basic Care and Growing of Fig Trees (Seating is limited, registration &amp; $15.00 fee is required).
10:30 am to 11:15 am - Composting (no registration or fee).
11:30 am - 12:15 pm - The Basic Care and Growing of Hydrangeas (Seating is limited, registration &amp; $15.00 fee required).
All three presentations are near or at the Rutgers Demonstration plots (to the right of the Big Red Barn, next to the Community Gardens).
