Moorestown Patch Letter To The Editor: World Needs Day Of Prayer
Monique Begg writes about the need for a day of prayer in today's environment.

To the Editor:
Recently, I dreamed about President Donald Trump. It was a scary dream, a nightmare really, with the whole nation teetering at the edge of a nuclear precipice, and God knows what awaited us below.
When I woke up, the nightmare didn’t vanish. It remained rooted in my mind. I couldn’t shake it off, until at last I found refuge in prayer. I prayed and prayed until at last I thought of the World Day of Prayer of Church Women United, which is held annually in March.

But then I asked myself: Can we wait that long? If there is anything we need today, it is a World Day of Prayer—a time to set aside our differences, unite with others around the world in love and prayer, and ask God to please help this great country of ours get out of the hole it dug for itself.
A day of prayer would be a good start, though it wouldn’t be an end in itself. As the saying goes, God helps those who help themselves.
