Proposed Bond Ordinance, Memorial Field On Tap For Council

Moorestown Council will meet Monday night, Sept. 10, at town hall.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — A public hearing and final vote will be held on a proposed bond ordinance when Moorestown Council meets Monday night at town hall. Council will meet on Monday night, Sept. 10, 7 p.m. at town hall, 111 West Second Street. The official action meeting commences at 7:30 p.m., following a workshop that will include a discussion about lighting at Memorial Field.

The proposed bond ordinance calls for council to appropriate $980,000, including borrowing $997,500 in bonds or notes to be used for the extension of the township's fiber optic network to all the township's water and wastewater treatment facilities. The proposal previously called for the appropriation of over $1 million, but that number came down after the initial price tag included a number of intangibles.

There are also two proposed ordinances up for introduction.
