Water Main, Roofs Replacements On Tap For Moorestown Council Meeting

The official action meeting begins at 7 p.m., and the workshop portion of the meeting is canceled.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Moorestown Council will consider four proposed ordinances on introduction when it meets at town hall on Monday night, Aug. 28. The workshop portion of this week’s meeting has been canceled, and the regular action meeting begins at 7 p.m. Council will consider a pair of bond ordinances.

In the first, council will be asked to appropriate $910,000 and borrow $865,500 in bonds or notes for the replacement of the roofs for the township’s Department of Public Works building and various sewer treatment plants.

In the other, council will be asked to appropriate $3,675,000 and borrow $3,495,000 in bonds or notes for the replacement of various water mains.

Council will consider a change order to appropriate an additional $440,000 for various improvements to the water and sewer utility infrastructure.

In the final proposed ordinance set for introduction, council will consider amendments to township code governing storm water management.
