Rotary Seeks Young Adults

Exchange trip to Colombia set for spring

The Rotary Clubs of the Morris County area are seeking four young adults to represent Rotary in Colombia for a month-long, expense-paid cultural exchange trip.

Sponsored by the Rotary Foundation, the Group Study Exchange team will travel through South America from May 19 to June 15.

As ambassadors of Rotary, the group will visit the partner district in Colombia to share their personal, cultural and professional experiences with those they meet there.

A group study exchange promotes international understanding and goodwill through person-to-person contact, according to Rotary’s press release.  While abroad, team members stay in Rotarians’ homes and have the opportunity to meet their professional counterparts.  They will also give presentations to Rotary Clubs and other groups about our home country and local area.

The Rotary Foundation provides round-trip airfare and local Rotarians in the host country provide meals, lodging and group travel in their district.  Team members are responsible only for their personal and incidental expenses.
